Most of the so called beggars on the streets of Lagos are professional beggars. Because, I have known a particular beggar since my early secondary school days to date and he is still begging. So, he must have found begging to be more beneficial than being employed. Most beggars make more money than many employed office and bankers. Because, there are Lagos beggars who make over N3,000 (three thousand naira) daily. And at the end of the month, they are over N90,000 (ninety thousand naira) richer. The government in Lagos should make a law for beggars to pay tax. I have also noticed that if the hundreds of thousands of churches in Nigeria are really serving God, they should be taking care of the destitute as Jesus Christ commanded. God bless. God bless.
