No doubt, any one who reads seun’s interview will be thrilled. He sounds like a compelling thinker whose scholastic backdrop and training had not limited his philosophy. A focused capitalist-so he calls himself- who knows what he wants and where to get it. He won’t stop at nothing, not even failures. He professes endurance, self-determination and social change. Give it to him-he sounds very persuasive. However, you have raised a profound issue, on one hand, duplicity and falsehood aren’t virtues to be celebrated, on the other, I think we need to assist one another when our consciences are weak and especially, against a societal system that favours distrust and don’t encourage mutual dependence. nairaland.com and nairaland.net, you guys are fantastic and out of this world. to everybody on this list-a new naija depends on us! Let’s be truthful to one another, help and support one another-if we do that, we will not only restore our misplaced glory and grandeur, we will also give optimism and trust to our children to come.
I salute you, my kinsmen.

Mr nairaland.net.Admin
I quite appreciate all ur posts concerning this issue at hand. I met with Seun sometimes in October and I was thrilled by his speech. I mustered courage to move ahead to the next level of my life without much dependence on the «high & mighties of the society».
I'll advise that if you've got any personal issues with Seun, you could try and settle out of this forum, because you sound like you have a beef 4 him.
Your points are quite sensibly like Uncle Gani Fawehinmi, but please make your quarrels private and your praises public. I wish you the best.
Kind Regards.

«i dont think dissing this guy will add more dcredits to you as if its a vid-game.»
Shouldn't you join hands with me to condemn the liar? This is why your nation is so backward - you people love making excuses for corrupt individuals rather than confront it.
«make your own successess and celebrate them but dont put down just to score a point.»
Since when did exposing liars amount to a put down? Never make excuses for liars among you if you want to move forward as a nation.
«Thanks for the info on “robotsâ€
i guess we’ll not make the mistake of judging any forum or blogs success by its purported regd members.»
Precisely!

Personal issues? What is that?
Are you saying that when we see people like Seun lying to the people, we should simply sweep it under the carpet?
The one problem that is plaguing Nigeria today is the fact that Nigerians are extremely docile. We see crooks in Government, but never want to get confrontational or are afraid to do so. We need to denounce any bad behavior, or we'd never progress.

Guys,
I think we can add more value to ourselves by allowing personal issues lie and focus on the strength of online interraction which is educating our generation. In this informative age of ours, knowledge has proven to indeed be power and we can turn this nation around by taking advantage of this fact.
Remember, «a man convinced against his own will is of the same opinion still».

Just to set the record straight, here is more proof:
As at this time, Seun has removed the registration page (http://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?action=register), yet the website's membership numbers keep increasing.
Can anybody explain how this is possible?
Either Seun is fraudulently adding fake members himself, or they are being created by robots, or a combo of both.
Do not let Seun pull the wool over you eyes. He's a fraud.

Good question.
Now let me bring you up to speed on forum management. I hope you're a common sense guy, and not merely somebody who bares blind allegiance to nairalandmania.
Spammers from Russia, Brazil, etc run robots that remotely create bogus accounts for the purpose of spamming. I've locked down my forum to stamp out the activities of such robots.
So, when you say 64,000, you are not reading between the lines. Most of those accounts are fake.
Here is the proof:
7. What challenges did you face and kindly give strategies
adopted to overcome such challenges?
ANSWER: Spam and scammers are a constant nuisance on the forum. I try my best to remove members who engage in such acts and their posts.
Furthermore, I won't put it past Seun to churn out thousands of fake accounts, just to prop up his membership base. Seun himself posts to the forum using at least 15 accounts that I know of. Are you following my drift?
Now, wipe the sweat off your brows, before I lay the next bombshell on you.
Here's the answer to your question about what success on the web is.
Success on the web is defined by income. Period. If you're not making money (when you're supposed to), your site is a failure.
As to why nairaland.net has fewer members, check out the stats:
.com launched: Mar-2005
.net launched: June-2006
Now that we know his high membership figures are conconcted, and that he isn't making a dime from the site, I ask again:
why is Nairaland.com considered a success?
3 years and 8 months ago
@ Nairaland.Net Admin
Seun's forum has a membership of more than 64,000, you have a membership below 800 and you are asking why Seun's Forum is considered a successs.
I dont know dear, but how else do you measure successs.
