THE MODEL CONSPIRACY

It’s exactly 5 years from the time I had my convocation ceremony for my Bachelors degree and I can’t but reflect on the journey thus far. Taking stock of my dreams back then and seeing the fulfillment of those dreams re-enforces my resolve that dreams do come true. One of the turning-point of my life was when a certain bright young man walked up to me, 5 days after my last exam in a Schlumberger Career Fair, invited me for a meeting; an extra ordinary meeting I would call it. The meeting was crammed with notable talented final year student from various disciplines, various fellowships but were all Christians. The theme of the meeting was a synergy of talented individuals towards becoming Role Models, not just any model but African Role Models.

As I was pounding away on my laptop, I took a peek at my 3 months-old baby and her mother sleeping peacefully, the thought of modeling and the effect of modeling came to me. I envision the gist between my daughter and her friends at the age of 10 and I wondered what would be the common ground for discussion if the world continues the way it is; Brad Pitt in another divorce saga, Madonna’s new hit, Mikel Obi moves to Milan, 15 governors impeach on the same day, President of Nigeria flies around the world to initiate talk on Foreign Investment, etc. As I continued in my postulated vision, I can’t fail to see the effect of Media and the clouts it gives the so-called models that affect our every day social discussions. My first reaction was to give away my cable, ban illicit films from my home (as if the local TV stations don’t show this), ban music that portray debauchery and violent lyrics but my thought immediately cautioned me on such move because she would eventually go to school, meet with mates who would have been corrupted with such vices.

So what do I do? Is the media to blame for promoting such role models that kids look up to? Why is the average kid more entertainment inclined? More kids prefer role models as actors, athletes, fashion models, musicians, etc these are areas where serious Christians hardly venture and those that venture, are not heavily recognized by the media. Then I looked at the bigger picture, why are so many youths in Nigeria in preference of a white collar job instead of business? Could it be the models they envision follow this path? Role model and its effect in a given society can never be overemphasized. This is why the meeting that took place five years ago in one of the prestigious joints in New Buka, OAU, Ife could never had come at a better time where the world is waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God, where the world is seeking for a new wine, where the world is craving for a new lifestyle that will set their conscience free. The world is waiting for you.

Here, is an except from the passionate coordinator of African Role Models, Adeolu Akinyemi;

“These problems, I have started my day with a consciousness of them in mind for days. So much has my heart pondered on these that I’m beginning to feel uncomfortable with the idea of taking up a good paying job that does not afford me the opportunity of helping to be a solution to these problems. I have prayed, thought and panned and finally I have a solution. A solution that is worth using ones entire life to pursue. A peep reveals, that a solution to these problems lies in training, synergism of efforts, entrepreneurship, solid biblical concepts, resourcing and all too much for any existing society to produce. Welcome with me however to module that answers it all, welcome ARMs – African Role Models.”

Could this be the solution?

  3. gboyega says:

J, you must be a “special breed”

  4. Dipo Akin Tepede says:

  6. jane says:

    Dipo

This is turning to a battlefield like the advert in Bank PHB.
    Boardroom now Battlefield.

  7. Dreaddy says:

    To J
If you are an intelligence officer, [doubt it], Man, I feel so sorry for your country.
You have the gulls to call the good professor a “crossed eyed homosexual”
Men! Unless he was boning u in front of your mama, un-insightful rant, is libelous. In the US, the professor’s campaign team would sue and own your mama’s kitchen in the end.

  8. Angela says:

Seun/Micheal….I think you miss the point here

A role model does not mean you have to be perfect…We all have flaws. Arole model is just someone that has the ability to inspire and motivate others in what ever particular field in the life/life experience
The ability to make mistake and not be ashamed to tell others in hope that it helps them not make the same and still be encouraged to push further.Someone that has a hearth for others young or old.

  9. Michael, G. O says:

Seun, I think for once, I will have to agree with you, that it is the height of arrogance setting oneself up as a role model when he/she is a mere mortal.

  10. Seun Osewa says:

Isn’t there a little bit of arrogance in settig up ones self as a role model for children? Is that the same as being close to perfection?

  11. J says:

Can we all adjurn to the new room “who should be nigerias next president” to continue this discussion gbenro, michael, fynwaka, angela, luminus etc please meet me there.

  12. fynewaka says:

J why not look for a way to darfur to go and loot, rape and get drunk!

  13. Michael, G. O says:

J you are not ashamed to be telling people that you are a dummy planted by a cabal in the military despite your intelligence and expertise. Why not wake up and face the reality of life. Can’t you as a military top brass have an independent mind of your own? Can’t you be a soldier in the mould of Kaduna Nzeogwu, Emmanuel Ifeajuna, the scorpion etc.
You are the people causing all the problems in this country; basically because you (the soldiers) are idle in your barracks doing nothing other than drinking tombo and looking for the next officers wife to sleep with. It is a truism that all the problems we are going through in this country is directly or remotely linked to the gapped tooth retired general and all I can hear is peolple like you who could have used their military expertise in the service of the nation rolling out drums to herald the second coming of the infamous General.
Don”t you people consider the future of Nigeria when you sit at the mammy markets to take all this rash decisions about the Country? for your information, without recourse to whatever opinion anybody holds there will be bloodbath in 2007 should the military attempt anything funny . I am talking from the standpoint of a Niger deltan and I know what I am talking about. What a shame that the country is waisting its money on people like you.

  14. J says:

Gbenro please can we retire for the day, lets continue tommorow, it is quite late, thank you.

  15. J says:

Well the terms and conditions does not explicitly say that i cannot or any member of the miltary for that matter be invloved in politics, but it does say that members cannot be “activley” involved. it also says that we are to support the polity and government as stakeholders. similarly the constitution says that soldiers can be drawn up at the discretion of the commander in chief to be involved in facilitating activities in the political process and security the polity including elections, riots, political rallies.

The constitution also says that in the event of political breakdown of law and order the most senior serving military commanders and officers can declare a state of emergency and take over affairs of the government in that case that would be the defence and service chiefs not the minister of defence.

Our terms and condition are different from other services like federal fire service (maybe micheal can tell you more about that one) and customs that usually have a name like Micheal G.O on their name tally/tag for commisioned offers in the forces thier names would be for example M. A Abdulai ie initials before last name , but the for the other ranks ie non commisioned officers in the armed forces it is usually similar to Micheal G. O format.

  16. Gbenro the Newpaper Journalist says:

J you mentioned ” the packages we have lined up” are you actively involved in politics with these individuals and is this not a violation of your your terms and conditions of service?

  17. J says:

Well the vision 2010 plan which is in line with the united nations millienium goals/plan for 2015 among others would provide free monetary, healthcare, elderly, disabled, education schemes as well as revert back to the old petroleum subsidy system that we had where the govt would fix the price of petrol. This was the case until the obj govt came and used democratic free market system that is too expensive for us. These are among the many welfare packages we have lined up.

  18. Gbenro the Newspaper Journalist says:

What does babangida and marwa have planned for nigeria in terms of social welfare?

  19. J says:

Well due to the terms and conditions of my service i really cannot disclose too much except that i am a signals and intelligence offiicer with the Nigerian Army, my job involves all kinds of things among them gathering information from websites such as these, decoy operations, tapping telephone conversations etc so actually this is part of my job!

My connection is i was planted by a member of the cabal who i cannot disclose at his time.

  20. Gbenro the newspaper journalist says:

please J what is your full name your career and connection with these political figures who you are supporting ?

  21. J says:

yes Gbenro please let me know your questions and concerns how can i help you

  22. Gbenro the Newspaper Journalist says:

    Hi

J i have to say that you are very brilliant and funny military and political mind. I have some questions for you and about the Babangiba and Marwa presidency as well their plans for the nation come 2007

  23. J says:

Dipo that you very much for your comment, i would like seize this opportunity to apologise for the ramblings, rantings, behavior, comments and disorderly conduct by luminus, angela, micheal i just hope they can wake up, grow up and take hold of their lives.

  24. J says:

micheal watch and see as the chain of events unfolds from now till oct 2007 and we will see if i know next to nothing about these issues.

  25. Michael, G. O says:

Though, I just stumbled on the pieces by J claiming to be an army major and all of that, I think what he is portraying is the usual military ignorance. How could he be telling Nigerians about a cabal in the Military that has the presidency as their exclusive preserve. I think it will be to his interest if he tries to read the political history of the Americans and also ask his ogas in the military what soldiering is all about rather than ruminating on issues he knows next to nothing about.

  26. Dipo Akin Tepede says:

    My dear commentators,

I really do appreciate your comments and I am a strong advocate of free speech because this leads to general development of the human living BUT

I am really not happy with a guest insulting another guest in my own domain. This is uncalled for and would NOT be accepted.

1)If you have to oppose views, please avoid insulting my guest(s); you may forward all insults to me personally, I would gladly accomodate it.

    2) I am avoiding placing the moderator on your comments because I believe my commentators are very matured.

N/B – WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT AND I BELIEVE WE CAN LEARN FROM EACH OTHER BY SPEAKING FROM OUR LENSES. LET’S LEARN FROM EACH OTHER INSTEAD OF INSULTING EACH OTHER………

    Thank you all

    Love,

    Dipo Tepede.

  27. J says:

Dipo i join angela in “her” apology to you

  28. Angela says:

    @ J and Antoman ….

I have no intention in getting myself involved in any “debate” that is gear to discord and does not edify me or anyone around me.

some of us do have a purpose when we speck or dialog, and I dont see any of that in addressing the both of you.

I would ask that when you are ready to dialog with me in a respectfull and mature manner,Not in this slack area boy gutter manner you have both displayed.

Dipo, I do apologies if I have been out of line with any of my comments.

  29. J says:

myfriend , who told you you can apologize on my behalf, i dont apologize at all.

However, I would like to apologize for the way obj and members of his govt (coincidentally including utomi) have run this country aground. But, come come 2007 i can guarantee you that we would change things, please let me know your concerns for development goals, social welfare ie vision 2010 etc and i would address them or pass them up as best i can.

  30. J says:

myfriend , who told you you can apologize on my behalf, i dont apologize at all.

  31. KINSGLEY says:

im an avid reader on your website dipo this would be my first write up

please i would like to apologize for J and Adeolu’s behaviour on this forum, such behaviour is unbecoming of them!!!!!!!!!!

  32. J says:

Dipo i would once again like to commemorate with you on this great day for electing and appointing me to the office of no 1 blogger and would like to restate my commitment to democracy and freedom of speech, an idealogy which we all agree with (lol) i would also like to offer you the official title of “wazirin blogger” ie the chief of blogging staff.

  33. J says:

Angela im on your side concerning luminus, please are you in alliance with me so that we can address him!

luminus im on yourside concerning Angelas “any govt in power/anywhere belle face” tendencies, please lets address her!

  34. J says:

please i could not just bear to hold this joke to myself:

How can a crossed eyed man tell you he has a vision, first of all can he see properly, not to talk of implementing the vision, he will fall over a stone/his feet lol

  35. J says:

O.k i will stop calling utomi names if adeolu is banned!

  36. J says:

LOL @ Antoman for calling angela bootless

Antoman thank you for your comment, angela did you hear that pls respond to Antoman, please note im on both of your sides (angela and antoman) my responsibility is to shoulder and guide/direct you (with the eagle on my shoulders) in our country in the right direction. Please i would like hear anything we would like to see the IBB/Marwa Govt address come 2007 please voice your concerns on this blog and i will take it up.
Luminus there will be no such thing, after all you yourself said it “that you are proponent of free speech” , but you can see that you are calmoring for dictatorship ie banning so as i said and i will repeat if they put you or anybody in my shoes you will be doing the same thing as is plain to see!

Is it not better for people such as myself that will defend our countries integrity to be at the helm of affairs than armed robbers, 419ers, cultist? vis a vis

  37. Antoman says:

This is my first this blog.
As I read the thread on Professor Pat Utomi, Men!! I am astonished at the level of viciousness, and utter lack of decorum.
Mr. Adeolu, is making his argument with out resulting to personal attacks, while, the likes of J and Angela attack him personally.
When will Nigerians get it? It’s all about ideas. Why not counter Mr. Adeolu’s ideas instead of resulting to name calling
Bootless Nigerians like Angela, with their not well reasoned, un-insightful, half baked ideas, should keep their venomous spews to themselves.

  38. Luminus says:

Whoa! I knew from day one that getting into discussions much less arguments with J, would just be a draining experience.

How can one person be full of so much shit. He’s obviously quite jobless ‘cos I don’t see the sense in a chain of 16+ unreplied comments. Jeez, get a life, grow up and shut up.

@Dipo, J’s comments may be making your posts popular, but as far as I can tell, they only serve for anarchy. The only thing they ever do is derail the conversation. I don’t even bother with reading the bulk of them ‘cos it’s a waste of mental faculties.

As much as I am a proponent of free speech, this guy is just so tiring. You may want to consider banning him from posting further comments.

    Nuff said.

  39. J says:

not only are the Generals in alliance but once again the 80:20 rule applies again ie 80% of the politicians are candidates/former contractors of generals from IBB, Ababcha and Abubakar regimes!

The Generals children who are not in the military have already reloved to go into politics as create their own opposition as an alliance. This is the game played by Alh Bashir dalhatu (former power and steel minister and abachas son in law) Wada Nas, Bashir tofa, babagana kingibe, Jubril Aminu, Lawal Kaita (constitutional conference justice),Alh Dantata, Eng Mohammed Wali, (former NPA chairman and US ambassador), they are all the children of glovers hausas! ie

  40. J says:

  41. J says:

We are one step ahead of any elite in the country if there are 100 shares in any major company worldwide (oil comapnies , banks) the northern nigerian generals out of the entire nigerians who own anyshares in those companies, own 80% and leave the rest for the likes of politicians in khaki like obj and you like obj does not mind eating scraps ie 20% like a mad man on the road. When last did you have a psyciatric evaluation! If you regard utomi as a big man, this proves my point that you are a local boy from Ife (OAU) who only recently moved to mushin and are regarding surulere area as being like heaven paved with gold in your letters home! so what will you call ikeja, 7th heaven! and as for ikoyi that one is another story, in essense the gods must really be crazy!

  42. J says:

another one of my calculations (statistical models) is that most of nigerias past heads of state have been dark (skin) complexioned individuals while fair/light skinned individuals have played a secondary role ie alex ikwueme/ekwueme (or whatever his name is) , Joseph Wey (gowons no 2 man) , Augustus Aikhomu, Mike Akhigbe, Chuba Okadigbo, only one head of state ie Buhari has been light skinned!

similarly the northern generals are the majority of the presidential candidates (75%) ie Akhigbe, Kontagora, Nwachukwu, Ukiwe, Buhari, Marwa, the list is too long etc and those attempting governor and senator cannot (Raji Rasaki,Tajudeen Olanrewaju, Musa Bamayi, Anthony ikwechie, the list is too long etc) will never serve under anysuch bloody crossed eyed, homosexual civialian because they are all in alliance basically the khaki boys are back come 2007!

  43. J says:

Remember i told you about the international soldier comradery this comradery holds and invests money in trust for each other in diffferent countries of the world in americ ait is know as the association of retired admirals and generals. these generals from all over the world who meet themselves at UN joint forces, War college miltary academies etc bonds stronger than any organization. even at the command and staff college i made comrades from officers from various african armed forces which would make it easy for US to take over goverments in the future with their support as was (IBB, Jammeh)

Imagine if oct 1 next year there is a bomb blast that kills everybody there at eagle square, now it is easy for people like myself to go to the brigade of guards in abuja and organize a few trucks full of infantry soldiers and tanks using my coursemates and juniors from NDA and march straight to aso rock and NTA abuja to announce and assume the reigns of the government, but can you! and which soldier will follow you , if they will not shoot you if you near the brigade!
but me i arrive in full uniform with a few other officers who are my coursemates assigned to that brigade and all the soldiers would immediately allow us in and we would ask for the brigade major or watch officer, immediately tell him what has happened and we would facilitate the withdrawal of arms, trucks and armored tanks among the lower ranks, soldiers at the near by barracks would also be alerted to kit up in cambat fatigue and carry their assigned service arms etc the signals, military police and intelligence officers would immediately communicate to other units nearby including airforce bases to commence ariel survey, major roads in out of the city will be blocked by the tanks or the trucks

  44. J says:

Once again any plan or vision utomi has is in line with a larger plan and vision (ie 2010) please also note that he was invited by the IBB camp to be a member of vision 2010 and among this vision are the initiatives and businesses he is fronting for the IBB camp including his bank, internet company etc

Let me tell you there is no telecommunications company or internet etc in nigeria that is not controlled majority by the money invested by Brig Gen David mark (a former signals officer and IBB boy) who is a senator today including: seimens, ericsson, motorola, etc both globalcom, mtn etc are all thier companies because telecom is the preserve of the military, hence the reason for soldiers at nitel offices, if you will notice theres a signals officer that comes regularly to each nitel office to carry out an audit ie “to listen to any conversation” he likes for national security reasons as well as to make sure telephone lines assigned to military installations are adequately encrypted.

  45. J says:

Adeolu your mouth is writing with a pen, and your hand is drinking water but you are saying your mouth is drinking water and your hand is writing with a pen!

  46. J says:

Being that my grandfather faught in egypt on the side of the british (allied forces) in world war 2 as a soldier in Glover hausa/west african frontier force, my father faught in the UN Uganda force along side IBB in the 70′s, the nigerian civil war, liberian ECOMOG war and myself now im about to be deployed to Darfur (sudan) based on this who is more of an african role model because i and my forefathers seem to be maintianing the unity , faith, peace and progress in nigeria and africa as a whole similarly my son will also join the forces!

  47. J says:

Concerning african role models among the 2 of us who seems to be more of a role model in africa!

  48. J says:

Adeolu you have NOT CONTRIBUTED or exhibited anything MEANINGFUL to this website other than toot your horn that you work for schlumberger and membership of african role model. I on the other hand am the “MAJOR” and Majority CONTIBUTOR to this blog as you can see from the head count above including providing knowledge on: education, history, psychology, economics, political science etc same as most other people on here
if you have your own website then why not keep to that one and stay on yourside of the house!
You are nothing but an ex-cult member from OAU university who is looking for political scaps from the low and powerless, fellow cultists ie Utomi, Shoyinka and who is not satisfied with your small move from OAU to mushin but now you want to move to V/I.why is utomi solociting campaign donations, its because you want to gain from such scaps and he will. Please note that secret cult and bearing of arms in the nation is illegal if caught you will be paraded and face a court marshal because it is a military office. What roles and what kind of modelling have you done or played? Do you even know how to catwalk and which designers did you model thier clothes!
this is the reason why we call most civilians baggers because people such as yourself like to bag fake titles such as model, general manager, company secretary etc!
If you are democratic and say dialogue is the best way forward etc then why am i the majority concerning dialogue on here and not you!

The ideology you stand for you do not exhibit! you are a a dog with a cats head!

i cannot mark your name the only thing i have been trained to mark is your body on a shooting range or firing squad. Because you and your forefathers are no bodies and neither will your children, my forefathers faught as thier brothers keepers in 2nd world war, my father faught at liberia, now i will soon be deployed to Dafur (sudan)
the even your own bible and out COAT OF “ARMS” says blessed are the peacemakers ie peacekeepers and unity faith “peace” and progress. in essence it is impossible to even be a good muslim or christian if you have never been in the military!

  49. J says:

Another of my political calculations is that most of nigerias heads of states have been short in fact short men have held leadership positions in the world more than tall men as a whole. Tall men do not last long on government ie Zik, Buhari in this case Marwa, IBB are short Utomi is tall! similarly most of the men who have been chiefs of defence staff in nigeria are short ie Ogbomudia, Bali, Agwui etc this is another reason why even Atiku cant make it!

  50. J says:

So you can all see that we have religous fanatics in here who believe in the faith of democracy, freedom, equality etc this religion is a recessive religion compared to the religion of order the dominant, which is the system that applies in “most” other relgions as well.

to be a politician you have to win majority of the vote, only a major can win or speak for a majority!

  51. J says:

The national anthem was imposed and written by a socialist Yoruba lady who apparently was a teacher sponsored by the likes of Fani Kayode snr and his fake American ideology system to include “freedom”mind you freedom comes with a price. the same natioanal anthem says “arise o compatriots nigerians call obey to serve our fatherland….” ie stop dreaming and face reality and serve your country which most likey nobody here has done except Ango and myself! (in terms of serving)

  52. J says:

If there is to be any kind of split up in nigeria the new niger delta country would be controled and lead by an officer of the niger order
ie Admiral FBI Probeni, Gen anthony ukpo, Navy commander Diete spiff, Gen David Ejoor, Admiral Dan P Omatshola etc who would be loyal to the senior Niger order officers it would not be lead by any such individuals as

please also of note is the current bayela state creation was by fought for by Admiral Porbeni and it is his initial contractors that are now todays governors/senators! soon he will collect key of his house from those guys and will call them again when next he needs them ie hotel room service

so niger delta may become idependent but the leaders would be imposed by the Norhtern Generals as it was in the 1st republic there has never and would never be any be anything like free and fair election in nigeria. all the major european countries had their candidates for various posts who they supported in the first republic, fani kayode snr was american imposed.

The same europeans that imposed 1st republic leaders was the same oyibo that provided Ironsi, Nzeogu etc the intelligence about the movement of these political figures so they could kill them and take over.

Okotie Eboh was killed simply because he was stealing nigerias bank account interest money he had at least 5 houses in England at the time. it was not until after his death that oyibo came out with what is called GAAP in accounting (general agreed principles) and in this new system bank interest had to be accoounted for! Can okotie eboh tell me that based on his upbringing what he did was morally and culturally wrong? even though he assumed it to be academically right!
what im saying is do as oyibo do, dont do what they write in books!

Even in the united nations there is a “General” Assembly and the security council is the most important of all the councils for UN sanctions to be imposed there would be need for a military force or blockade of supplies etc for the resolution/sanctions to work!

  53. J says:

How can you Adeolu a Yoruba (kettle) be following Utomi a riverine minority/ibgo (tea-cup) when you can follow Marwa Hausa-Fulani (Pot)

  54. J says:

Adeolu the highest form of service in any country is military service that is ready to lay its life down for its country. Talk is cheap, for the past 40 or so years of nigerians independence most of the money ammassed has been accumulated by the military elite so it is impossible to compete, we have the greatest financial share in most of the biggest companies in the world even in the international media such as CNN because those sattelites in space are primarily form military and intelligence reconnesance and secondarily for.

Talk is cheap once again the politicians in the first republic had communication power, but the military had force power and of all the powers in this life force is the most effective. Imagine if somebody appraoches you with a gun and tells you “your money or your life” The reality is they can take both your money and your life! but you cant even touch them.

Once again Adeolu what you are fighting for is a historical thing, the north has been ammassing Arms since Gowons administration in secret locations and bunkers and has been training the locals on various fighting stategies hence the location of the armor, artillery, infantry/airborne and training depot all in the north in preparation for such things.

IBB and his boys are not broke but were only playing a game of pretense in order to see who was really loyal since they planned this whole obj govt form start to how it will end, using prof omo omuruyi and sam oyevbare for the political planning. Now the game is up and they have seen and shown all nigerias “who their friends really are” by a slight change of what “apears to be” the govt of the day.

historically the northern generals have been backed by the russian, German, frech, all arab, nation, chinese, indian, british and even the americans etc generals and governments there is also a historical pact (alliance) that was sealed between the queen of england and the sultan of sokoto that we would rule over the subregion on her behalf. small wonder why all the guns owned by nigerian police /armed forces are either german (SMG machine gun, SIG pistol, grenades, RPG, mortar) russain (AK 47 and tanks) or french (force nationale rifle) and German Navy ships, Russian MIG airforce jets, Alpha jets (british) etc or american (Hercules C-130) these generals own the largest shares in all the defence industries in the world in alliance with generals from those countries that they went to academy/war college with from those other countries. in essence there is international soldier comradery and alliance and has been ever since Gowon took over infact it has existed in the north long before oyibo came!

Now i must tell you that its the oil money from the early years (1920′s) of oil discovery from the arabs that owns and controls all the western banks and these same western banks that control and own all the major companies in the world (ie Citibank, HSBC, Chase Manhattan etc). the saudi embassy in washington DC is the only embassy that has CIA present pretecting it!

Once again this is the system that applies everywhere: even Mobutu’s son is head of state now by take over of govt, do you know that benjamin nathanyahu and his brother were officers in the isreal defence forces.

are you aware that the serria leon head of state was guarded and took over serria leon by hausa who were trained at army depot zaria?

so basically which alliance (fianancial and miltary type) do you and utomi have compared to this that is why i told you it politics is a war?

The Bush clan has said “we endorse a certain former general and president from the north to emerge as nigerias next leader” ill tell you why because americas second largest export is defence products and mostly generals buy these products. all americans care about is oil and defence!

the pure and genuine value leadership you are talking about adeolu we already have, if you have any concerns about what you would like to see happen in terms of changing a few things in the country please address your concerns to me and i would pass them up and see how we can resolve them.

“loosers only make excuses” GROW UP see the reality of life and stop RAMBLING and RANTING Adeolu (angela thank you for those vocabulary words) in short Utomi cant win also because there is no minorty that has even been president /head of state in nigeria neither can odili etc their tribe only convers one or 2 states they can only play 3rd or 4th fiddle even 2nd fiddle is too much for them!

Are you manufacturing those facts or are they the exclusive preserve of military guys…cos I can fault some of these your facts. Having said that however, I feel you, your calculations and projections are using newtons laws of motion…things will continue the way they are except for external forces. I incidentally also have a good feeling about Maruwa…

I’m am touched though, that there are people who wish this country continue on this same track. Guess it helps see what we are up against. But mark my words, things will change in Nigeria…and mark my name too.

Are terms like value based leadership, servant leadership and service oriented leadership ills? Politics is a war – maybe, but quickly remember that the violent and physical side of the war is fought by the sergents. The real war is fought by thought. World war 2 was essentially Hitler vs Churchil, key weapon was thought and words.

Also please check out patutomi’s details well, most of the facts about him are not correct as well… http://www.patutomi2007.com should give u some correct data. You don’t need a cut from any government to be wealthy… we also need to move past that. Money flows in the direction of value. This is the reason most of Babangida’s boys are broke now… they can’t wait to have him back in.

You have strong opinions, and keen interest in these matters, i’m sure we can use them. Sometimes, the tail, wags the dog.

  56. Angela says:

    @ J

WHAT EVER YOU OPINION MAY BE ABOUT MR UTOMI COULD YOU REFRAIN FROM BEING SO VERBALLY ABUSIVE

WITH ALL YOU RANTING ABOUT THE WHITE MAN YOU ARE ACTUALLY PORTRAYING THERE LACK RESPECT FOR THERE ELDERS.

NO MATTER WHAT, LET YOUR ARGUMENT BE ON POINTS AND NOT PERSONAL INSULTS.

I WOULD BE LOOKING FORWARD TO READING YOUR APOLOGY FOR YOUR TONE AND LANGUAGE.

J YOU ARE OUT OF LINE!!!

  57. J says:

First of all before you people start talking about federal politics look at what is going on in your companies. You as nigerians are continously paid lower than a white fool who will tell you that they are “only experimenting” and that they only have “related expereince”
This system is practiced by virtually all multinationals in Nigeria. Even the Bush clan was quoted as saying the Americans are staeholders in the oil industry. The arabs have refused all this kind of nonsence by letting the white bastards know that they are inferior and thieves (for stealing such ideas as al-gebra and using copyright etc) hence the bombing of world trade center, american embassy in Kenya etc

First of all try and resolve these discrepancies first before talking about Utomi and his crossed eye, homosexual, softspoken, demeanor. The only reason why you would want Utomi is because looks like he may be offereing you a stake of the money he is fronting for IBB in that case you are a slave to hausa-fulani just like himself and probably homosexual too! Dora Akinyuli is a good lady she would make a good vice president , minister of health but in Nigerian we are not ready 4 woman president!

  58. J says:

for more info on Marwas campaign please go to
    http://www.mbmarwa.com/

  59. J says:

Angela to answer your question specifically i personally believe
Gen Dr Buba Marwa is the best for us because:

He will inject youthful blood into the society an even more youthful blood than Utomi. ie new ideas and new systems in Nigeria

He has degrees in public administration and politics/diplomacy from even better schools than Utomi attended

He has experience in public administration, politics, diplomacy even as a defence adviser to the united nations and america, governor of lagos (local and international experience)

He has served nigeria with his life for 20+ years and can lead us in war and settle conflicts

Most traditional rulers in nigeria can vouch for him and take him as a son he has aslo recieved many traditional titiles

He is a more successful businessman than utomi despite utomi being a PHD in finance

He is concerned about the social welfare of the people in the country and currenly has a scholarship scheme.

Even Area boys in Lagos and members of OPC respect him

In short he is a perfect fit, an ideal leader

  60. J says:

B4 you go any further the peter odili you are talking about is an IBB contractor from the old days his proteges such as rufus ada george of the old rivers state are the ones that introduced him to ibb for contracts when they wanted to keep eyes on the businesses they were running businesses for him.

Jerry Gana a Nupe a 100% IBB boy they made him who is is today.

Are you also aware that even the governor and senators from oyo state used to front petroleum companies for the IBB boys including national oil.

Deolu if me and you run for president it wont be fair because among other things i can arrange to jam any TV, radio or cell phone signal that would broadcast election results, i can also use intelligence and operation sweep/checkpoint etc to slow down any business activity that may be supporting you, such as stopping a trailer carrying paper for newspaper.
Go abroad and see that they do the same thing! These are a few of the many things i can do! in essence politics is a war and it just wont be fair on you!

As you will notice we are headed for a gradual change preparing for IBB with the strategic placement of Gen Chris Garuba and Gen Tunji Olurin as administrators in plateau and Ondo respectively to complete a traid administrator with a suspected and sponsored soon to be situation somewhere in the east! coincidentally these are IBB boys and coursemates from NDA regular course 3 and all were governors previously under IBB!

Are you also aware that Adedibu used to be a sergent in the army logistics corps and IBB used to give him money for local politics from the defence contracts when he was director of army logisitics as a Col.

Are you also aware that Guobadia the former electoral commission chairman was made by Gowon and they attended secondary school/university together

Angela my criteria is based on the past political calculations!
No softspoken, suit only wearing, technocrat, easy going individual is suited for nigerian politics or presidency

    My political calculations are:

2007- IBB or another northern general

2015 -A fake set up coup will be staged by the children and relatives of these same generals who are now in the middle level ranks of the armed forces ie Captain to Col (hint – including myslef and Musa A Ango from another of dipo’s blogs)
please note that the following have their children in the armed forces:

Gen Buba Marwa son currently army captain
Admiral Murtala Nyako son currently a navy captain
Gen Lawrence Onoja son currently Major
AVM Ibrahim Alfa son currently a wing commander
Admiral DP Omatola son currently a navy commander
IG Mohammed Gambo son Currently assistant commisioner of police
Gen Abdullai Ango son currently a Major
Gen John Shagaya son currently a Lt Col
Gen Garba Duba son Currently a Lt Col
Gen Abdulsalaam Abubakar Son Currently a Col
    Gen Magoro son Lt Col
Admiral M. Buba son Navy Captain
Gen Salihu ibrahim son Lt Col
Gen Joe Garba son Lt Col

2019- elections will fail and Gen Abdulsallam abubakar or Gen Martin Luther Agwai would lead an interim govt

2021 – the sons of the current crop of generals retire and run for office similar to what IBB and his guys are doing now
    and the cycle continues

Look it is only NATURAL that “WE” continue to hold the LEADERSHIP of OUR nation it is “OUR” inheritance and right after all OUR fathers SERVED this land for 30+ years with their lives. Similarly we follow suit. This is how oyibo do it! or can Angela or Adeolu or Dipo say thier parents served this country with thier lives and are following suit?

Even Awolowo flooded his people in Min of finance, central bank, first bank among them Joseph Sanusi.

Adeolu but i could probalby use you as a mouth piece similar to alex akinyele i can see you now saying “J is the best solution for the county”

  61. dave says:

i’ll like to know more about the ARM stuff. let me av relevant sites.thx

  62. dave says:

i very much agree with j. utomi has not been known tohave guts to confront wrongs per se. d like of dora akunyili-nafdac dg, nuhu ribadu-efcc boss.. are known to av refused gratification and in my opinion av stood the test of time. i support dora akunyili for president come 2007

  63. Adeolu Akinyemi says:

    J

Are you a commedian? If you are not, I think you should give it a try, you will send any audience rocking with laughter with this your piece :) ))

I’m finding it hard to assume you are serious about these points believe me…let me show you how it all sounds to me
    1. To lead this country you needed to have been in the Military…not ever again.
    2. Titles from various parts of the country? Neither does Jerry Ghana, Donald Duke, Peter Odili or Muazu…and believe me, it’s one of those 5 – Since you and I are not contesting :) )
    3. Ideology suited to the west? wow! Here is one that believes that butter is not for monkeys, is that what you think your people are? Lets get good leadership in nigeria for once, and you’ll be surprised the potentials in this country.
    4. How many people are in the military that their listening count to anything?
    5. I know Utomi personally, have spoken with him, was with him over the weekend (twice), will see him on sunday…weak willed and soft spoken? Wow, I must be fragile and cuddly :)
    6. He does not have a track record of anything he has done for Nigeria persay.

Hit me o…cos I think i’m just explaining what you already know :) See, some of us exist only for the possibility of a different Nigeria. And believe me…we have good options this time around… and none will pass your 6 points about a leader test.
    4

  64. Angela says:

    ….so what is the solution @ J
Who do you think will /should lead Nigeria in 07 and why.

  65. J says:

Personally i know utomi and he like virtually most “captains of industry” in nigeria are fronting businesses including the bank of which he is chairman today for these same generals and they use them even for fake political opposition, the current crop of governors and politicians were all former front men for various generals as their contractors/business operators in the past ie and when Oga come house he will collect key from the gateman who he gave it to!

Let me tell you Utomi is like MKO Abiola he will sell Nigeria and he may end up trying to bite the hand that made/feed him. After all its Murtala Muhammed and Buhari that gave Abiola the ITT contract that made him rich and he was fronting buinesses for them including his own champion newspapers and airlines etc

Orji Uzo Kalu and the entire famous Kalu family of Aba- Contractor for the eastern region, purvayor of fine women for Gen JT Useni

Bola Tinubu – Political God son of Lateef Jakande (a Military apologist)

If i should name some names of some people for you in the obj govt and the kind of businesses they used to front for these khaki boys you will be surprised and you will loose respect for them!

  66. Angela says:

    @ J

    I beg your pardon…..

what should that mean @ your 3rd point. A leader should be global thinking.

I dont know much about Mr Utomi apart from watching his show from Nigeria and I do like and agree with his thinking very much.

If we are to expect CHANGE in Nigeria we should be OPENED to different thinking and ideas not just typical “Nigerian Ideology”

It is thinking like this that will keep us from moving forward as an effective Nation.

  67. Angela says:

3 His ideology is only suited for the western world not out nigeria
5 He does not have a strong will and is soft spoken

    I

  68. Dipo Akin Tepede says:

    @ J

You must be a millitary man thus your views…..

  69. J says:

    Adeolu,

Pat Utomi has no place in the leadership of nigeria ie president, howerver he would make a good minister of works and housing/industries, finance etc the reason being

1 He has not served of fought for his country his country before (or even never been his brothers keeper ie ECOMOG or UNAMIL etc)
2 He has not identified with all nigerians by accepting titles from various parts of the country
3 His ideology is only suited for the western world not out nigeria
4 the military will never listen to him because the nigerian military cirlces only obey their former ogas, he would be ousted overnight like Shonekan
5 He does not have a strong will and is soft spoken
6 He does not have a track record of anything he has done for Nigeria per say

based on this fact Buba Marwa, Olagunsoye Oyinlola, Mohammed Lawal and all have these qualifications and even stand a better chance than he does despite the fact that pat Utomi is older than all of them, what a waste of ageand shame to use his 50+ years of his life in selfish chasing of money while his juniors were sacrifising and nation building

  70. Dipo Akin Tepede says:

    @ Angela

    Thanx for the comment.

Wow, I am surprised but I believe this is the Lord’s doing.

    @ Adeolu

    Thanx for the comment.

I am seriously thinking towards the various platforms of media and owning a cable station is my dream………

  71. Adeolu Akinyemi says:

Interesting Dipo…interesting how 5yrs ago, we thought of that. There are many things that require addition into the list these days, and believe me, the Media is one sure one. We need to be active in the media. POET needs to go on radio and TV.

I remember the discussion we had almost 2 months ago, about Beyonce connecting better with our youth. I think the reason is the appeal and clout that TV gives. Why can’t Tepede be the actor of Repute that everybody wants to be like? Why can’t we have people with deep lifestyles be the people that are showcased. It won’t happen to us, we will move towards it, and make it happen.

We need to creat a generation of African Role Models. Let’s celebrate the virtues and values we want our nation and continent to embrace. In the words of Pat Utomi, we are not the leaders of tomorrow, we are the leaders of NOW.

  72. Angela says:

ARM is something I have recently started reading up about, checking out there website and I must say I am excited about….

There is a generation of Nigerian youth I call the MTV generation.

I really dont blame them much, the decline in our country both economical and social has caused the society to look to the west for everything and actually think that everything in the west is good!

I have lived here in the UK for nearly 20yrs now and I and my husband are determined to raze or children back home. Now please dot get me wrong not everything in the west is bad. I thank God for the internet and how it has exposed and opened the world to the young people of Nigeria…(by the way I have a passion for young people) but with it comes other influences. I still say parents are the first and the best teachers….You start talking and directing not dictating to your children. Is not everything that your child should watch or read just cos it is from the west…..The music your children listen to, get involved not just restrict them from it, but you dialogue with you children at every stage of there life from toddler to teenager (especially the teenage years) but some parents are BUSY hustling a career or some contact…so parents are distracted…

I am one with an opinion that not may of my sister agree with, but that’s just fine…I believe that a mother should stay at home with her child for at least the first 2-3yrs…to create a relationship … i dont really agree a child should be in nursery before 3yrs old (unless for financially reason) Both parent rushing around so called looking for money to raise there child and end up not knowing your child.

Dipo I could go on about this, cos this is my passion but I ‘ll stop just here and say … The next generation will blame us if we do not impact, and influence them positively.
What we did not get from the generation before WE have no reason REPEATING THERE MISTAKES…

ARM is a brilliant idea and I plan to get involved when I come to the country in the new year.

[...] Motivation and Development for People and Organizations – ASE « How are you Smart? Do you believe in Nigeria? Go and write it down somewhere, 15-20yrs from now, Nigeria will be one of the most desiredcountries in the world. The Nigerian VISA will be more priced and more scarce than that of Dubai. People will literally kill to visit, and people will smile and get excited about you, when they hear that you are a Nigerian. What Nigeria will be is not like anything that presently exists. The men and women, boys and girls who will be remembered for their parts in this struggle of selflessness are the ones I urge to cast their votes for a New Nigeria here.  Don’t join the bandwagon, think about it and say YES!!! Say yes to a New Nigeria, say YES to the Nigeria of our dreams. It is a struggle that will require sacrifice, patience, strategy, persistence, courage and strong desires. But we will make it! Not can, WILL. And I, Adeolu Akinyemi together with You will be MON of the New Nigeria. This is a clarion call to all those who believe that something good can still come out of Nigeria. That we can team up with our little drops and make a mighty ocean. That together we can raise a force of African Role Models, that have the capacity to cause change in Nigeria and Africa at large. Just recently, I was reading the blog of a friend, and I saw prophecies from a guy called J about further doom for Nigeria, and I wondered…it is true that the only thing that good needs to do for evil to prosper is not shine. Silence is the crime of good in the presence of evil. Let me remind you, no matter how comfortable you feel as second class citizens in another mans land, home will forever be more appealing if things are done right. If you are interested in reading the contrary perspectives of a Mr “J”, it is here, there is no future for Nigeria outside of us, we are the future, and if we play the games that our fathers did, leaving the stage for the guys whose only claim to power is via the privilege of having ever handled a gun, then we mortgage the futures of our children. Near of far, abroad or here, we will live and die as Nigerians. A friend of mine presently in the UK, considered me worthy of being the first she’ll discuss this with. She read my mind, I’m interested, and I think some people who read this blog are too. This is an opportunity for us to register our interest or perhaps lack of it and why. Just put your thoughts and comments here, and lets inform others. Eventually we might need to move from here into a forum of our own…but for now, lets know who is interested. Excepts from mail 1 from Yinka… I’ve had something on my mind for a while and i thought i’d just ask your take on it. I came back to school to study development economics because i want to get involved in the development of Nigeria at some future point in my life. I realise that the skill set required for building Nigeria must be multi-faceted and i just decided that economics is the angle i want to aproach it from. Obviously this building up requires people with complementary skills and a common vision and purpose to make it work and the idea of getting in touch with people who are interested in developing particular skills which will be beneficial to addressing the problems in Nigeria and who will follow through in applying those skills appropriately came to my mind. Personally, i think a lot of Nigerians have good intentions and have tried their best when in positions of power but their efforts didn’t have the desired impact cause they couldn’t build the necessary momentum on their own. Essentially i was wondering if you knew people who are willing to lay down their own self interests and get together to do something. I’m not thinking in line of a club with a motto and regular meetings or some charitable organisation…been there done that. I’m thinking more of a network of people who are aiding and monoitoring each other’s progress in acquiring the necessary human and physical capital and who are actively making inroads into the corridors of power…not a political group per say although that has to be an essential ingredient to the whole mix but a group that is ready to get its hands dirty at every level….i hope you catch my drift and everything i’ve said sounds a bit coherent. Will give you a call as soon as i get a response in the affirmative. I’m sorry if my mail sounds very formal…i’ve been reading too many academic journals….. Take care and reply soon,ok. Excerpts from mail 2 from Yinka I feel that there are some people out there who do care about Nigeria and want to do something but on their own terms and at their own convenience..and i think that’s fine..as long as people are not against the vision they’re welcome. But i think there’s a need for a core group who have an unswerving commitment (which is alllowed to falter sometimes, after all we’re all flesh and blood) and who are determined to see it through…God helping…those are the people i’m trying to get alongside with to make this thing work. If you ask me i think our generation is too focused on personal comfort as a result of the experiences we’ve had and also due to societal pressures and values but personally i feel there’s more to life than that. I think we need to go back to the God we read about in the Bible and find out the things that are most important to Him and start focusing on those things. Excerpts from mail 3 from Yinka I have lots of great friends but i don’t think any of them feel marginally the way i do about Nigeria at this point in their lives (and i absolutely respect that) or are ready to get involved in doing something about it. So i guess i’m the one looking for people with like minds. An online forum would be great…what do you think about that…you’re the expert on blogging…I actually think it would be great to have a different kind of Nigerian presence online…most of the ones i’ve seen don’t quite fit the bill. It would be like a clarion call (that just dropped into my head now) for all those young Nigerians all over the world who still believe in Nigeria but whose efforts have been frustrated in the past or just don’t know what they can do. I’m really interested in this and i’m ready to get as hands-on as possible..the only thing is my IT skills are quite rusty right now but i’m sure i can do some other things. Se you’ll let me know soon…don’t want this idea to die like so many others have…take care, ok! Do you fit the bill?  [...]
