Interesting Dipo...interesting how 5yrs ago, we thought of that. There are many things that require addition into the list these days, and believe me, the Media is one sure one. We need to be active in the media. POET needs to go on radio and TV.

I remember the discussion we had almost 2 months ago, about Beyonce connecting better with our youth. I think the reason is the appeal and clout that TV gives. Why can't Tepede be the actor of Repute that everybody wants to be like? Why can't we have people with deep lifestyles be the people that are showcased. It won't happen to us, we will move towards it, and make it happen.

We need to creat a generation of African Role Models. Let's celebrate the virtues and values we want our nation and continent to embrace. In the words of Pat Utomi, we are not the leaders of tomorrow, we are the leaders of NOW.

ARM is something I have recently started reading up about, checking out there website and I must say I am excited about....

There is a generation of Nigerian youth I call the MTV generation.

I really dont blame them much, the decline in our country both economical and social has caused the society to look to the west for everything and actually think that everything in the west is good!

I have lived here in the UK for nearly 20yrs now and I and my husband are determined to raze or children back home. Now please dot get me wrong not everything in the west is bad. I thank God for the internet and how it has exposed and opened the world to the young people of Nigeria...(by the way I have a passion for young people) but with it comes other influences. I still say parents are the first and the best teachers....You start talking and directing not dictating to your children. Is not everything that your child should watch or read just cos it is from the west.....The music your children listen to, get involved not just restrict them from it, but you dialogue with you children at every stage of there life from toddler to teenager (especially the teenage years) but some parents are BUSY hustling a career or some contact...so parents are distracted...

I am one with an opinion that not may of my sister agree with, but that's just fine...I believe that a mother should stay at home with her child for at least the first 2-3yrs...to create a relationship ... i dont really agree a child should be in nursery before 3yrs old (unless for financially reason) Both parent rushing around so called looking for money to raise there child and end up not knowing your child.

Dipo I could go on about this, cos this is my passion but I 'll stop just here and say ... The next generation will blame us if we do not impact, and influence them positively.
What we did not get from the generation before WE have no reason REPEATING THERE MISTAKES...

ARM is a brilliant idea and I plan to get involved when I come to the country in the new year.
