CAN U BELIEVE THIS?
Average time to read2:50 minutes aprox.Have u ever wondered why countries with high spiritual(mystical) atmosphere tend to be poor, backward and worse of all, have a high traffic of emmigrants? Why countries with low moral value tend to be prosperous, forward-thinking and worse of all, have a high traffic of immigrants? This things worry me, it appears not to be logical but it is what happens in the world we live in. Is there potential maximization in being free from the boundaries of religious activities? These thoughts came to me after chatting with a friend of mine early this morning and with her permision I decided to blog it. Happy reading!![]()

Asia is not just prosperous cos of «God's» blessing or not!
All are created by God and He made us all in His image and likeness, so we have God's DNA in all of man ( believer or not). We always like to talk about Gods blessing no body what to talk about Scarifies, commitment, dedication to work or study…The bible talk about mediation on the word, so we should in everything we are involved in…..to see ourselves approved.
Asian are both extremely hard working and dedicated to the collective not just individual as we can be sometimes ( if not most of the time).
God has given us everything we need to succeed the choice is, are we ready to do the work it takes?

If we talk about countries in europe - like UK their forfathers belived in God and sent out missionaries - and even though they they call themselves christian country in name and have already turned their back on God - then we have to remeber the promise God made about blessing to the third and fourth generation of those who love him.
But then if we are looking at countries in the middles east - like the arab nations - alot of them are decendants of abraham - but not of the promise - and becasue they are children of abraham they are blessed automatically.
Now if we look at asia - Japan for example who worship idols and demons - then that is where the prosperous dilema can be questioned.

Azuka,
The only thing you have the power to change is your self ...inthis case your thinking....
The choice is yours ....to live a life of fear or of hope ?
You can live your dreams....that is your choice to make. Living your dreams does not have anything to do with the state of your enviroment.
Fear does only one thing demobilise and destroys DREAMS...
SO LIVE LIFE WITH HOPE!!
Stay blessed all.

The time around December is the scariest in Nigeria. I always look back with a feeling of longing, wanting to return home.
It's accounts like this that remind me that all is not as idyllic as my dreams make it out to be.

Be carefull what words you choose to use...Words as you should know are very powerful.
Yes, we all know how the country may be, but that is where faith in action comes...Reality is negetive, what do I mean?....If we deal with things based on what we see it is possible to be discouraged...that is why I say reality is negative.
There is power in the Tongue, so speak what you hope for that is the only time we would see change...when we all are positive and not speaking based on what our eyes see...
Stay blessed all

@ ugo
I am very unhappy about the whole situation. This is one of the reasons why Nigeria is still underdeveloped.
When you hear Nigerians say they want to pray and fast for the next president; I start laughing because they dont even know what they are saying. They «spiritualize the whole thing and do nothing meaningful and complain; looking for the next route abroad.
The story of Nehemiah easily comes to mind; how he left his comfortable job to build the city of God. He got his hands dirty while building not looking from a far and expecting a Magician by the name of God to build the city.
Sometime, I look at the United States we tend to copy and i wondered if they prayed and fast to get to where they were....

I was telling dipo about some of the happenings i've also heard about concerning the story above and he insisted i share it with other readers.
A guy boarded boarded a bus from ife going to osogbo and he found himself inside a bush around sekona(for those of us that know these places in osun state)They were taken to one big mansion inside the bush and they dicovered that they were beheading humanbeings there. The guy was very lucky cos the leader of the gang recognized him as a pastors' son and allowed him to go(which was very unsual). He had to walk inside the bush throughout the night before he could get to the main road
Another one happened along akure express road. Some market women entered a bus going to akure to go and trade only to discover that the bus went off the main road and they found themselves in a bighouse inside the bush. All the passengers inside the bus were asked to take all their clothes off when they got to the house where they saw dead people and some other people tied waiting to be killed. The gang that took them there didn't know that their were armed thieves in the bus and as the theives were about taking off their clothes, the brought out their guns( which was under their clothes) and killed the spiritualists that took them there. The theives rescued the market women and other passengers in the bus and collected all the money that the makt women and the passengers had with them with the claim that they save dtheir lives.
These are real stories that actually happened. i just want us to know that these things are real and we should just continue to pray that we should not be victims of them.

Things like this happens all the time and i dont think it's due to the upcoming elections or anythin. I've heard so much about people's disappearances and its so disheartening that more of it happening at this time.

Hmmm, good question. I’ve always asked myself, is it the poverty that brings about the spirituality or vice versa?
First off, I’ve always told myself that while, I believe, one can (I didn’t say will or must) be materially rich as a result of being spiritual, I believe that you don’t need to be spiritual to be rich. (Examples abound).
So, I would say that poverty is the cause of the spirituality. If you have no science or logic to explain a thing, your recourse is to the mystical, to the spiritual, because you don’t want to leave something inexplicable, without a name.
To use our country as an example, the average Nigerian is caught in a crossfire of uncertainties. Few good jobs, no money, erratic power supply, traffic, no responsible government, just to name a few. His recourse to bringing about certainty in his life is what I think, brings him to spirituality. It feels comforting to know that there is someone out there taking care of him. It feels comforting to know that all the good things that he has been denied will somehow be his by the agency of a supreme being. It feels comfortable to throw the responsibility of your shoulder and put it on someone else….
In the sense of that last phrase, the spirituality also feeds the poverty, creating a vicious cycle. If a higher power is going to do it for me, then, why do I need to do anything?
