I agree that sometimes some women are selfish. But when you talk about the seed concept are you saying that it is ok to just go ahead and marry a guy who has to collect money from his brother to pay rent and tells you upfront that his weakness is women??? ..just because you've already turned 32?

The 3rd point being 'burden bearers' is worthy of note,it brings to mind Zig Ziglar's popular advocacy "you can get all u want in life if u help others get what they want in life"
The fact that u have substantiated this with biblical examples lends it more credence. Keep writing.

@jane on the note of forgive an forget, Im begining to think its a cultural/nigerian thing. I say this becasue I have known powerful women of God who have indured or faced some difficulties as a consequence of others, who have forgiven, but not that they dont want to forget, or that they havnt - they just make the statement, and I find myself, asking, why they dont want to forget, and their answer is always, not in the literal sence. Then Im left bewildered. Is wondering if its some thing that is said as a saying, or should be seen as it was vocalised. That is different.

I also find that some of the points you've raised might be applicable if one lives in nigeria. I have known many gradutes who are out of work and have known many burden bearers, quite possible its to do with the group they find themselves in.

I agree 100% with what you've said dipo. thoroughly enjoyed your post. Its just a shame that many in nigeria appear to believe in the seen and not the unseen.

this is a beautiful write up. i read a funny mail sometime ago about husband store. in this store ladies' are meant to go for shopping on each floor of the store which is a 5 storey building. They are to check out any feature they like and pick the guy of their choice. But they are not expected to go back to a floor they have passed. As they ascend each floor the attributes of the guys get better. Some ladies' saw a guy who was God fearing, intelligent, good looking, Wealthy and all the good stuff. But they still continued ascending thinking the next floor will be better. To there disappointment the last floor said thanks for shopping here so they left without anything because you cannot shop in a floor you have passed. This applies to our lives some women are greedy when it comes to marriage they want everything and they can't give anything. These days people don't know what is called according to God's will.some ladies do things for so many reasons: they follow men because of beauty, money, family background, fame e.t.c. These days people believe that you can reap when you've not sown. You see people wanting to get rich at all cost eg drugs, armed robbery, rituals, 419, fraud, corruption e.t.c. when we talk about burden bearing, when you have problem these days especially the one that is financially related men!! you are on your own. Some problems make people treat you like an outcast.Like unemployment, people will think you are a pest because you will always come around begging for money. you have to carry your cross your self. Then the big one Forgiveness. Many people will say i forgive but i will not forget. so what is forgiveness. you see people living, working together keeping malice. The funniest one is even in church you see people envious of each other. A person might be a good soloist or instrumentalist but people will want to talk him down and exhibit their own gift.when you ask they will say its holy competition. na wa for people. God will help us. Its not late for people to change their attitude.
