LIFE IS A GIFT!

Gratitude to God is one of the greatest discovery of abundance living and the ability to recognize and implement this simile unpopular element is the breakthrough to success (which ever stead you belong). “They soon forget!” these are words from the Holy Scripture depicting human frailties to remember their previous state. A woman is in die need of a divorce forgetting her wedding day, a man commits adultery forgetting the sacrifice of his wife, an unemployed graduate complains of his/her state forgetting his/her ordeal as an undergraduate, etc. These examples signify man’s response to amnesia. I was reading my mail today and saw this write-up that spoke volumes to me and trust me to share it with my faithful readers. Enjoy!More...

There was a blind girl who hated herself just because she’s blind. She also hated everyone, except her boyfriend who has always been there for her.She used to say if she could only see the world, she would marry her boyfriend. One day, someone donated a pair of eyes to her and then she was able to see everything, including her loyal boyfriend.

Her boyfriend asked her, “Now that you can see the world, can we get married now?”

The girl was so shocked to discover that her boyfriend was blind too. So she refused to marry him. Shaken by this rejection, her boyfriend walked away in tears. He later wrote a short note to her saying, “Please take good
care of my eyes dear.”This is how humans behave when their status changes. Only few remember what life was before, and who has always been there for them even in the most painful situations.

Today before you think of saying an unkind word – Think of someone who can’t speak.
Before you complain about the taste of your food – Think of someone who has nothing to eat.
Before you complain about your husband or wife – Think of someone who’s crying out to God for a companion.
Today before you complain about life – Think of someone who went too early to heaven.

Before you complain about your children – Think of someone who desires children but they’re barren.

Before you argue about your dirty house, someone didn’t clean or sweep – Think of the people who are living in the streets.

Before whining about the distance you drive – Think of someone who walks the same distance with their feet.

And when you are tired and complain about your job – Think of the unemployed, the disabled and those who wished they had your job.

But before you think of pointing the finger or condemning another – Remember that not one of us are without sin and we all answer to one Maker.

And when depressing thoughts seem to get you down – Put a smile on your face and thank God you’re alive and still around.

Life is a gift, live it, enjoy it, celebrate it, and fulfill it.

Amen – it really is. We are so used to being blessed by God that when He teaches us patienec we see it as abandonment. To think where God has brought you from and what you have that many don’t is more than enough to give glory to God, if He did nothing else for you. Thanks for sharing.

We all have been guilty of this at a time. Complaining and complaining. A song writer says” how many times do I go against your will, then you forgive me. But yet I still turn around and do the things I shouldn’t do cause I belong to you, and I know you’ll come through. For I know I take advantage of your grace here in this christian race. O lord I have sinned but you still calling my name.
Dear lord forgive us for complaining about what we don’t have instead of appreciating what you’ve given to us.

Man i complain so much. This really puts me in view. Through out this week i’ve been having mails discussing how to treat others as i would treat christ, this one tells me the “others” that exist out there. I’ve got to take this journey.

    Thanks man.

This is really inspirationals and motivating too,we all should be
grateful to God for whatever we have while expecting some more.we shouldn’t complain that our roses have thorns rather we should always thank God that our thorns have roses.

  8. Mathew says:

Honestly, I do not complain but at the same time, I am not appreciative to God and mankind as I should.
Some of us are too quick to put our achievement behind us to start pursuing others such that we forget to give thanks as we are required to do. While it is good to aggressive, it is the best to count your blessings.

Just 3-4 weeks ago, I heard his voice telling me that HE has given me life and wealth and that all I need to do is love HIM.
To love HIM means that I should appreciate HIM, worship HIM and create enough time for HIM.

This write up by Dipo is one of the pointers to what HE expects from me.
God I bless your name today and I thank you for your grace upon my life and my family. I thank you for the people that are getting your words through your servant managing this blog.

    Dipo, thanks for the posting.

This is Rhema, a word in due season.I have been having problems in my relationship coupled with the fact that i am unemployed. I’ve been busy complaining instead of thanking God for the priviledge of an education and a relationship.Thank you Dipo for making me see that i should focus on the things that have been done and leave those yet undone to Him.

  11. suyi odejayi says:

hmmmm…….,dipo another deep thotful words, sincerely how i wish human beings should be appreciative of the mere fact that our God is faithful to do all things, all we need do is to reference him in whatever we do and in all situation lets acknowledge Him. 12. Londoncoool says:

This is a cool word offered in due season. Its very easy to forget where we all started and how we all started. We all need to maintain an attitude of gratitude.
