Runaway Train
Average time to read0:33 minutes aprox.AUTHOR: OSAGIE AIMENOHO
Dedicated to those of us whose hearts are breakingÂÂ
Stepping into the 8 ‘O clock Train
Nostalgia gradually arrested
My Subconscious
You never liked the Train
Said your Papa ran off in one
When you were barely five
Couldn’t figure you out, could I?
Especially given the circumstances in which we met
You were being mugged
And I was the assailant!
Call it a streak of fate, but,
When my eyes locked onto yours,
I was reborn!
Cupid obviously shot three arrows not one
I was truly, madly, deeply into you
Now I loiter, loathing the very day
Your voodoo eyes bewitched mine
Hmmm, some paradox
Fancy you calling my Mum, diabolical
Claptrap!
In retrospect, you’re a Runaway Train
You puffed and chuchu’d through my world
And like your Papa,
I pray you never come back.
