@Funmilayo,
I am somewhat compelled to drop a comment bcos of the things you said you loved “men, ice-cream and good books”, how i wish they were in that order. I also read your previous article and i must say it was really nice, ramblings or not, you passed your message across. You managed to say the stuff a lot of women go through in the deep corners of their minds, but can’t find the right words to express. If all writings were ramblings and like, there wont be any confusions about the authors intentions because the mind just pours itself out in true colors.
I have sometimes wondered why fairy tales are the way they are, why guys in mill & boons (i have managed to read a few courtesy of my sis) always have blue eyes and broad hairy chests etc etc etc, but i have always been brought back to earth by a comment that our own great Fela made, “make you no follow book, read am, but use your sense”. Ever since, movies, books, fairy tales are just entertainment, but the stuff i see and experience around me everyday…….that’s life.
I hope you find that “Thiery henry though, and maybe you can lick your fav flav of ice cream from off his chest and then write a book about it. That way, u’d be living someone’s fantasy

I share your feelings (read you article on dreams). but good enough for me the fairy tale became a reality much earlier in my life so when it comes to happily evey after i remember to put the clause ‘Ceteris paribus’ all things being equal. we all know that all things can’t be equal. You can have a drop dead grogeous man who is great in bed but alas he would rather seat around making small talk than making enough money to make his family comfortable. on the other hand he could be hard working and provide the best for his family but he is not sensitive to your feelings at a woman. the possibilities go on and on. i think what everyone should keep in mind is that be thankful for what you have but make sure you settle for what you can live with. it took sometime for me to get married because iwanted to be sure i wouldnt mind waking up to that person for the rest of my life. Five years on in the marraige i realise you must keep the flame burning or else you become like brother and sister!!!
Any way i look forward to hearing from you more often i know there are a lot of poeple out there who need help in reconciling reality and fairy tale.
