Being rich is a gift of God. How do I know?

God told me so.

Ecclesiastes 5:19
As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and given him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor—this is the gift of God.

Matthew 19

With God All Things Are Possible

23 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “Assuredly, I say to you that it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
25 When His disciples heard it, they were greatly astonished, saying, “Who then can be saved?”
26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Don't forget who gave you everything. You can pull on your boot straps, but God may not let the boot come up off the floor.

Hello Dipo, quite some time, compliments of the season!Your article got me thinking and is a great blessing, have been thinking of making some adjustments to my life and finally had the courage a couple of days back to call the shot...i dont know what the future holds but i know who holds the future and when the chips are down...family and your dream is all that will keep. So people should know not to envy anyone's harvest until you know what the person has sown to get such an harvest!Have a terrific year 2008, its a year i have tagged the year of possibilities..dare to dream the impossible and see the God of possibility bring it to pass!Shalom

Hi Dipo,
Thanks for that wonderful piece. I thought i was the only one going through this situation.
I,ve been working in an org. for about two years now and they just increased our salary by almost 70% but still im not happy with my life! I think this your piece came at just the right time
cos hvae been into all these investment stuff you wrote about and i quite agree with you.
I believe a little honest soul searching will do the trick! " Idea is capital, the rest is money".
Take charge and remain blessed

Dipo,
Greetings. I wonder if there is a better time for this write-up than now. I really appreciate it. I am reading a book on "How to be a Creative Thinker" by Gary Fellers. The difference between the rich and the poor is just "common sense" (though not common). Ability to take risk requires boldness and large heart. No wonder, Abraham Lincoln said "My great concern is not whether you have failed, but whether you are content with your failure". Again he said "That some achieve great success, is proof to all that others can achieve it as well. Some single mind must be master, else there will be no agreement in anything.

Hello Dipo,
Compliments of the season!
thanks for this piece, well thought and very insightful.
Our mind- and all that goes on within-holds the key to our destinies. No wonder the Bible enjoins us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. It takes a renewed mind to tune in and tap into heavens frequency. Until there is that positive change within, there can't be any meaningful change without.

Cheers!
