I commend ur courage in challenging this conevntional statement: "when preparation meet opportunity, success is achieved" though i see reasons with you, let me say, it is not altogether a faulty premise. However, whenever i use this quote, i substitute the word success with breakthrough i.e "breakthrough is birthed whenever preparation meets opportunity". This being that a "breakthrough" is a kind of mega, may be, one-in-a-life-time opportunity that only comes as a result of some successful exhibitions of ones talents/skills (usually on a smaller stage) which in itself are products of intense preparations/practice.
