thanks dipo,

a couple of friends sometime look down at you if you are not on a regualr 8-5 schedule.
Like one of my lecturers said about 20yrs ago, many of his contemporaries who have underachieved resort to working for themself. What an irony. Looking back at some of his students, i know he missed it.

your talent is the power that you possess that can get you to any position you choose; position can be economical or political....Competition itself is not a good avenue for opportunity because it promotes scarce mentality... This is opposed to the adage “when preparation meets opportunity”; preparation does not have to meet opportunity for you to succeed, it is the prepared talent that opens the opportunity for you to succeed.....i cant agree with you more.
but come to think of it,the man who is gifted but doesnt recognize it is not different from the man who is aware of gift but has not honed it.he may have the gift and not know it,he may have it and not package it well or even deliver the gift well enough to make room for him.PSR is it.
thanks for the insight!

Hello Dipo,
i have always believed that whenever talent (or passion) is turned into a career, stardom or even riches becomes the outcome.
I commend ur courage in challenging this conevntional statement: "when preparation meet opportunity, success is achieved" though i see reasons with you, let me say, it is not altogether a faulty premise.

However, whenever i use this quote, i substitute the word success with breakthrough i.e "breakthrough is birthed whenever preparation meets opportunity". This being that a "breakthrough" is a kind of mega, may be, one-in-a-life-time opportunity that only comes as a result of some successful exhibitions of ones talents/skills (usually on a smaller stage) which in itself are products of intense preparations/practice. I believe this is in sync with this "it is the prepared (exhibited) talent that opens the opportunity for you to succeed".

see you in the part 2,

Luv U!
