haba dipo!

why did you decide to go the nollywood way by asking us to await a part 2, sufffice to say that bankers are some of the most intelligent people around only if they use their intellect wisely.

few who have gone into enterprenuership have struggled not because they lack the skill to correctly assess issues rather because enterpreneurship is a different kettle of fish entirely.

i should know, i have been in both worlds.

I think a lot of Nigerians understand the importance of entrepreneurship. However, it takes intelligence, drive, support, and the all mighty money to make a lot of their dreams come true. It is easy for few but very difficult for most.

Nigerians are born "hustlers" but where there is no support, there is no accomplishment. The goverment should probably come up with training workshop and provide small business loans, which in turn will help build the economy by providing jobs for the ones that don't mind being the employees.

well said..with the way naija universities are you graduate say at 24-27 and you hustle to get a job possibly the one you dont enjoy but you have do do so that you can make ends meet and as the job sucks you keep looking for greener pastures as in better offers.as time flies you spend 30-35 years working only to retire with pension or even nothing to show for it.
the fear orf rejection and uncertainty is the wedge between people and their dreams.what if it doesnt work out the way i planned?then you find another approach-this is where courage comes in.who we are today is a function of the belief system shaped by family, environment, school, friends, church etc.2 major things influences the decisions we make-pain or pleasure.not every one is willing to give up something that may cause them pain(apparent) to get the pleasure they desire.
entrepreneurship is it!be in charge of your life but it comes with a price though-dealing with the real or apparent uncertainties.
thank you dipo.

Dipo: Many Thanks for the above post.

I must say the up coming 60% massive downsizing excercise been planned by the 25 mega banks in Nigeria is quite alarming. Funny enough some bankers are not aware of it.

Indeed, entrepreneurship will be the way out becuase if the downsizing is implemented---it'll be a disaster to lots of Nigerian families that depends on thier relation who's a banker and the sole only bread winner of thier family.

I guess it's time most Nigerians throw caution to the wind and venture into entrepreneurship...talking about PLAN B.

The United States is said to be the world's largest economy, interestingly---It's US entrepreneurs that are really boosting the ecomony of the US. In 2006 alone, over 650, 000 new businesses were registered in the US according to the Small Business Administration *SBA* ofice in the US, the highest in US history.

It's time Nigerian young men starts listening to The Gospel Of Entrepreneurship and seeking opportunities Nationally and Int'lly, because that's what entreprenurship is all about.

Enough is enough for the wise !!!
