This type of certification appeals to professionals that either want or already have the responsibility of efficiently managing projects through their completion. Of course, the projects must meet or exceed expectations, be delivered in a timely manner, within budget, and within resources.

Project management certification and accreditation is determined by the passing of two exams. The Foundation exam is a multiple-choice test that lasts for up to one hour. The Practitioner test is a bit more complex, mixing in objective testing with multiple-choice questions, and clocking in at approximately three hours.

What a splendid article. It's great and highly informing.

We really need to keep up with on-going trends, in order to be the best we can be.

Dipo, thanks a lot.

I'm happy to see this writeup here, i've been in the know of this but somehow did not get a push until now. I am interested in the training and would also love to take the exam in time.
God bless you.

Thanks and God bless. Certification makes one relevant, not only to the industry where he operate but to himself also.

Project Management is an interesting field. It encourages planning which is very lacking in our environmennt. The PMP certification is worth investing in. The wealth of information and exposure you would get would prepare for higher possibilities and even a change in career. I earned a PMP certification in 2007. From a backaground in IT I went into supply chain management and ran the supply chain divison in my company's food division for one year. ( I could not have done this without exposure to PM). I am back to my IT unit again but do get opportunities to do so much more than IT for my organisation.

I just found your website and I must say that this is a great post. As a young professional this was of great use to me. I think certifications will be just as important as degrees as things get progressively competitive. Thanks!

(Sigh) what an interview, i sincerely concur with all disucssed. i work in a Project Environment, to know it is Prestigious to have PMP attached to your name. Life is Trendy, its is only wise to follow up with it to remain relevant always
