Thiis another eye opener and a fact of life. Indeed easy come, easy go. The fact though remains that even when someone wins a lottery that does not mean that he did work for it. It takes money to make more money. It is not easy anywhere. The man might have as well lost thousands of money before luck finally shines on him. It is however on record that most people that win lottery end up being poorer than they were. The reason could be that they were greedy trying to make more money in the same lottery business. During the era of «wonder banks», most people made millions but ended up poorer just because they reinvested for more money. I remember the first and only time I played «kalukalu» during my secondary school days. I made some coins during the 1st attempt and lost more money than I made because I wanted more money - greed.
An important factor which people have ignored to their own detriment is in the application of «common sense». That you decided to stay in a particular area at a higher cost was because you looked at the ups and downs and at the end applied «common sense». Most of us are myopic and straight jacket thinkers. But still, another person may apply the same «common sense» and decide tostay in the area you rejected for reasons best known to him.

A great write-up, we loose money in the long run by trying to save money in the short run... i think its all about thinking in the long term, stop thinking in the short term alone.
One catchy line, '...after hearing the bid price, he put pen to paper first before concluding what step to take...' Its time we all start getting financially-smart, stop joining the bandwagon in decision-making, try to think through scenarios in a financially-smart manner before taking steps.
@Dipo, thanks for the notification again.

Hello Dipo,
In your exact statement you said «We lose money almost every day by trying to save money». You're 100% right.
I just have to retype the statement boldly and place in my room. The Mobile Moviz Recorder is a cool device. I love it.
Thanks for the article.
